Industrial Light & Magic

1. ILM company remains one of the leading effects companies in the world, serving the motion picture, commercial production and attraction industries. 
2. Industrial Light & Magic is a motion picture visual effects company founded by George Lucas in 1975. 
   1. Their headquarters is located at 1110 Gorgas Ave, San Francisco, CA 94129. Phone #: (415) 746-3000.
   2. Their headquarters lies on the tip of the Peninsula in San Francisco.  
   3. ILM created visual effects for nearly 300 feature films and has played a key role in 10 of the top 15 worldwide box office hits of all            time and contributed to half of the top 50.
        1.  In 2006, ILM invented IMoCap (Image Based Motion Capture Technology)
        2. In 2012 Disney bought ILM's parent company named Lucas Film. 
           1. ILM company became well known after their VFX involvement with the movie named, "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope".
3. ILM company got 23 SCI-TECH Awards, 15 Oscars, and produced 275 films so far.

    1. George Lucas
         1. George set up a state-of-the-art special effects company, Industrial Light & Magic.
         2. Executed more and more control over the finished product of his films. (The Empire Strike Back 1980, The Return of the Jedi 1983, Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark 1981, and etc.)
         3. In 2008, Lucas released the latest installment of his Indiana Jones series. He served as one of its writers and as a producer while Steven Spielberg once again acted as director.

         2. A member of original ILM team.

         1. Worked on computer animation as part of ILM's contribution to Young Sherlock Holmes.
